Today, April 1, 2010, I made a donation of $200 to CAT in Sherwood in loving memory of our mom.  I felt I had to do this since CAT is extremely low on food and cat litter right now.  How could I not donate money to them?  I adopted my Shermie from CAT and will be forever grateful to CAT for taking good care of him.

It's been 2 weeks and I still am having a very difficult time accepting mom's death.  Even typing that is just unbelievable to me at this point.  The only time I can get peace of mind is when I sleep.  When I can sleep, that is.  Sleep has been eluding me as of late.  Mom was my foundation and now that she isn't physically here anymore, I feel like I'm going out in the world without a net underneath me.  I feel like I'm walking that tight rope without the net underneath to catch me if I fall.  Mom was that net for me.  I always dreaded when this day would arrive and now I know why.
